about

Some mates of mine were in a 3 piece band called Fixated. They released an early E.P when they were still trying to find their voice. It had some nice moments on it. One of them being the intro to a track called "My Gratian" which had a sweet bluesy guitar lick laid to a solid beat. It caught my ear so I asked if I could borrow it. I looped the riff and added my own flavour & lyrics to it. This is the result.

Soon afterwards, the band found their voice, changed their name to Bromheads Jacket, signed a deal with a cool indie and became stars of what the NME labelled the "New Yorkshire" music scene.

Originally released in 2005 as the B-side to "Soap in a Bathtub", This track was voted "Favourite new choon" by listeners of Dermot O'Leary's BBC radio 2 show when the single came out. How about that?

lyrics

Bring your cup, fill it up til it overflows
Bring your cup, fill it up til it overflows
Bring your cup, fill it up til it overflows
Baby keep it coming until you are fit to burst.

Pretty little hippy, yeah
come, come feel the love
take all that your heart can hold
there's more than enough
oh yeah.

The light inside, come alive let it take you higher
The light inside, come alive let it set you on fire
The light inside, come alive let it take you higher
Baby keep it coming until you are fit to burst

Hear me yeah, Bohemia
come, come feel the love
take all that your hearts can hold
there's more than enough

Tho their body been broken
they know no despair
let his soul stand ten feet tall
with a fist in the air
